The HGSA Executive

The HGSA’s executive is comprised of five positions: President, Vice-President Internal, Vice-President External, Vice-President Finance, and Secretary-Archivist.

President
The HGSA’s President acts as a representative for the Association. He is responsible for chairing HGSA meetings and serves as a liaison between graduate students, the faculty, and the University Administration. Currently, Shannon MacGillivray a second-year Master’s student, is serving as President of the Association.

Vice-President Internal
The Vice-President Internal acts as the Communications officer of the Association. The VP Internal also acts as webmaster for the association and maintains this website. In the event that the President is unable to perform his duties the VP Internal takes his place. Currently, Natalie Zacharewski, a second-year Master’s student, is serving as Vice-President Internal.

Vice-President External
The Vice-President External’s primary responsibility is to organize the annual Pierre Savard Conference. The VP External also coordinates fundraising activities for the association. Currently, Jeremy Garrett , a second-year Master's student, is serving as Vice-President Extenal.

Vice-President Finance
The Vice-President Finance’s job is to ensure that the funds of the HGSA are correctly managed. Currently, Peter Schalk, a second-year Master's student, is serving as Vice-President Finance.

Secretary - Archivist The Secretary-Archivist is responsible for taking minutes of HGSA meetings. As well, the Secretary-Archivist archives the records of the association. Caroline Bedard, a second-year Master's student, is currently holding that position.
